ABOUT

Jillian Dahl is an artist born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. While primarily working in ceramics, Dahl incorporates photography as a key medium in their practice; combining mediums to illustrate a real body in an unreal form. An amalgamation of flesh and protrusions.

Dahl earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at the University of Florida in spring 2025. They’ve attended workshops at Guldagergaard Ceramics Research Center to study alternative firing techniques and throwing styles and has also received nominations for programs such as the ASPN Residency from Red Lodge Clay Center and the Windgate-Lamar Fellowship from the Center for Craft. From Spring 2024 through Spring 2025 they were president of HOT Clay at UF and regularly managed atmospheric firings; revitalizing both the club and the interest in atmospheric firings at the University.
